We would like you begin your work by designing a room. You may start from either:

the most 'private' room
or
the most 'public'

You might or might not have a clear idea where this space exists in the context of the overall composition, but we would like you to start be considering the proportion, scale, openings, surfaces, details of this one specific space, regardless of its specific context. You are asked to design in large scale model from the outset. Bring to your tutorial on thursday:
- a proposal - which room will be 'room 1'?
- historical precedent/type examples of spaces which might inform your ideas.
